Prasad Hopital KPB, Kukatpally

This blog is for awareness for the people who want to consider Prasad Hopital.

Also this blog post is for reviews on Prasad Hospitals, KPHB, Hyderabad.

Let me write my experience with his hospital first.

We joined our relative there for some reason. One of the person from group of idiotic Prasad hosptals referred our child to join there.

First they told the non a/c room are not available and we have to join our child a/c room which costs around 3000 Rupees per day. We left with no options and we joined our child there.

Then the real story starts. The different doctors coming and seeing and writing tests on their own. Each doctor three tests at least. Then they shifted our patient to ICU (It seems a bed vacated in ICU so they shifted our patient to fill it) with in two hours. We went to ICU with our patient. Now they came to us and told to vacated the room which we have paid. And they do not want to refund the amount nor they let us to stay in that room till 24 hours. Actually we have our luggage there and that is the only place for us to stay in as they will not allow more than one person in ICU. They told us we have to pay extra 1500 to stay in that room (we have to pay twice a day to stay in that room. Isn't it interesting?) .

What to do? The Prasad Hospital hospital staff do not even know how to speak to the patients. They spoke arrogantly  and made us to vacate that room. Still our patient is in ICU.

Totally only for tests, Prasad Hospitals charged Rs.15000/- and hospital charges Rs.10000/-. And now we are paying for ICU. Not sure finally how much it will costs.

I an resident of Kukatpally from past 10 years. They built that hospital new building just one / two years back. I  guess they want to cover the charges of new building cost and targeting their patients.

Another victim of Prasad Hospital KPHB colony (April 12, 2012 at 2:09 AM)

I joined my son in the month of December 2011 when he was 3 months old for acute bronchitis, doctor at my residence has reffed to prasad hospital, after taking my son to hospital the resident doctor has asked to join my son and a room has been allocated then a nurse started to put nebulization for every 30 minutes (each nebulization is charged at 60 Rs/-) and in the night DR prasad has visited and he suggested to stop feeding mother milk and to give lactose free soya milk (which was surprised me and wife as every where they say that mother milk is best). I could see that after 3 days my son started to recover and when doctor Maheshwar reddy visited in the morning i asked him when we can go home, he said that Dr prasad has to say and reffed to a doctor who visits the hospital every evening for some lungs and breathing. That evening that doctor has examined my son and asked him to take X-ray and said everything is fine and only thing is need to be given nebulization and in his report he mentioned we can be discharged if nebulization part is taken care. I felt happy as it become very difficult to move from house to office to hospital, we thought we will be discharged the next day, (in the mean while nebulization continues for every 3hours) on the next day we forced the nurse and resident doctor to give the final bill then one more doctor who stays and see ICU patients and who is senior doctor visited when i was at office and only my wife was present in hospital and said that the problem has not yet solved and asked the nurse to shift my son to ICU,(which was a shock to my wife and to me) my wife started argued and in the mean time i could able to reach the hospital and met the doctor who said to move to ICU, then he started shouting at me saying that they too are not happy to keep the child in ICU or as inpatient because they too are short of beds and said that as he was not well and so moved to ICU. When i said about the lung expert report he said that the doctor might not examined correctly,(which is one more surprise) almost 5 days we stayed over there and so i did not listen what doctor has to say and become adamant that we need to be discharged, then the doctor started threatening that in the medical final report we will write that it is not cured and on parents request we are discharging the patient and what ever happens hospital is not responsible, but i did not listen what he says and asked for final report so that i can move out and in the report it was mention same what he said and the finally we are discharged at night 11:30 PM after paying all the bills and the expenditure was 32000/- (most of them are because of nebulization, daily two doctors twice visits for every visit they charge 200 and when Dr. Prasad or Maheshwar reddy visits (they visit once a day) it charged at 500/- )

Over all my experience is that until we go for inpatient it is good for normal check up,

Another review on Prasad Hospital Kukatpally  (KPHB) (November 24, 2011 at 9:16 AM)

Save yourself the misery.. do not go to this hospital..they have filthy and untrained nursing staff... I have seen them pick nose.. brushing their hands against the walls of the hospital and then using the same hands to touch IV dripper points and tips of liquid droppers.. they will drop IV fluid kits on the ground and then reuse them..they almost bled my kid sick trying to push back oozing blood from the connector.. the doctor asked to stop breast feed (the first time I heard any doctor say that).. they wont allow anybody to accompany your kid to the glorified ICU however the security will move in and out in filthy slippers.. and nail in the coffin when we complained to Dr Prasad (who by the way acts god.. he is so unreachable and only gets reports from his subordinates) asked us to leave the hospital (again first time ever we had this experience.. he just denied to see my kid..so cruel.. that raises doubts about his authenticity as a qualified doctor).. save yourself.. don't go there..

I strongly suggest people do not go to Prasad Hospital in Kukatpally (KPHB).

Please join your hands, lets us bring some awareness in the public about Prasad Hospital. Write your experiences here with Prasad Hoptial.
